On 23/24 September, PROLOGIS is going to attend this year's fvw Congress in Cologne, Germany. Apart from the "Travel Expo" - a B2B trade fair with a focus on travel distribution, tour operators and business travel management - the event includes the "fvw Travel Agency Forum" and a "Travel Technology Session". We are looking forward to interesting discussions and conversations with industry experts on topics such as tourism, business travel and airlines. For the first time, IATA will organize a World Financial Symposium, focusing on industry standards, policies, developments and future trends of the financial sector. IATA’s IS-Week, which hosts the 48th Revenue Accounting Meeting, the 3rd SIS Meeting and the 9th IATA Clearing House (ICH) User Group Meeting amongst others, will be included in the conference. PROLOGIS and its subsidiary AIRPAS joined the 7th IATA-Distribution Data Exchange Workshop (DDX) to work on the New Distribution Capability (NDC). NDC is a travel industry-supported program launched by IATA for the development and market adoption of a new, XML-based data transmission standard. The NDC-standard will enhance the capability of communication in the travel and mainly airline industry. The NDC-working group is currently focusing on the preparation of a NDC-Implementation Guide. 2014 Simon Pontius www.simonpontius.de On the 9th of May PROLOGIS held their traditional „Airline Sailing event“ at Hamburg harbour anniversary again for customers, partners, colleagues and friends. PROLOGIS was happy to welcome over 100 guests from the aviation industry from over 30 countries worldwide. As in previous years the networking event took place on a traditional sailing vessel with live music, great food and many good conversations.

With NewSkies 3.5.0, TUIfly is launch customer on the latest version of Navitaire’s reservation system now. Together with our long-standing customer, PROLOGIS was responsible for the project management. The new version is currently in use since Sunday, 23rd of February and will form the basis for a variety of other projects and product developments at TUIfly. We are pleased that we were able to contribute to this huge project! Congratulations to the entire team of TUIfly. It has been a pleasure to cooperate with you again.

The PROLOGIS study “Ready for Take-Off? – Why airlines are falling behind in the area of touristic sales” was the main topic at the networking-event of the Travel Industry Club. Gerd Pontius presented our study results at an exciting aviation panel in Frankfurt on 28 October, 2013. With airline experts from Vueling, SunExpress and TUIfly the current market trends in ancillary revenue, distribution, IATA-NDC and mobile commerce were discussed during the evening.

In the course of building a new partnership between PROLOGIS – Experts in Aviation Consultancy and MAUREVA Ltd. our consultant Hanna Schaal spent four weeks at MAUREVA’s offices in Mauritius to become familiar with EDGAR, MAUREVA’s leading Passenger Revenue Accounting system. MAUREVA is a major provider of business technology solutions for the airline industry and one of the leading suppliers of Revenue Accounting solutions. “I was delighted to find that Maureva didn’t limit the training to the EDGAR system, but covered all aspects of the key Revenue Accounting processes, from sales, ticketing, proration and auditing to uplifts, billing and reporting.[...]

PROLOGIS is pleased to announce that our Caribbean customer LIAT ha successful converted from OpenSkies to NewSkies. PROLOGIS was in charge of the UAT Management and supported the airline with regards to Project Management and Data validation. It has been a huge undertaking for LIAT over a substantial period of time and we are very happy to announce that the cutover has been very smooth event. […]

Gerd Pontius moderated an exciting aviation CEO panel at the ITB in Berlin on 6 March 2013, discussing the topic of ‘The Future of Air Transport’.
